I usually don’t leave a review if I have a bad experience at a restaurant, I understand sometimes you just have a bad day. But our experience here was so bad on almost every level that I feel I have to leave a review to warn others. Service was bad, almost non existent. When we managed to flag someone down they were rude and seemed frustrated that we would need something… like the rice that was supposed to come out with 3 of our meals that were supposed to be served over rice…. The portions were large for almost all the entrees, but they barely tasted ok… very disappointing. Strip mall takeout would have been a step up. We were the most disappointed with my daughter’s meal. She wanted the meal in one of the pictures on the menu. Noodles with onions and what appeared to be sliced beef. We asked the very annoyed waitress what it was and said we wanted to order that. It was $20 and came out 15 minutes after everyone else’s food. It was basically a plate of seasoned bones with little scraps of meat. No noodles, some onions. It looked like they had cut the beef off for other meals and this was the leftovers… like bones with scraps you would use for soup. Not a $20 plate of beef ribs lik

The food is definitely worth the price. I ordered the noodle soup with two kinds of BBQ meat, and it was delicious! I really enjoyed it.

I wanted to dine in but decided to get it to go. Salt and pepper shrimp absolutely delicious. The pork was good as well. Great service

I was in town for business and had a few hours to indulge the foodie side of me, and I’m so glad I found BBQ King House in Chinatown Plaza. This place serves some of the most authentic Hong Kong–style barbecue in Chicago. The roast duck was incredible — perfectly glazed, juicy, and full of rich flavor — and the crispy pork belly had that authentic crunch that’s hard to find anywhere else. I also tried the salt and pepper shrimp, which was light, crispy, and packed with that classic garlic and pepper flavor. The portions were generous, and everything tasted freshly made. The restaurant has that no-frills, authentic local feel where the food truly speaks for itself. If you love real Chinese BBQ or want to experience something that feels straight out of Hong Kong, this spot is a must-visit.

We ordered whole roasted duck, stir drien ho fan noodles, seafood fried rice, dumplings soap and all of them were pretty delicious. The roasted duck was super juicy and not dry. The sauce made it real deal when paired with the roasted duck. The lady that serves us was so friendly.
